Height Issues

Short people (like me!) have it the worst, I reckon!

Especially on days such as these - where the rain is just so heavy and the winds are just so gusty!

It's just not funny, I tell you!

1. We have short legs since we are short people. And most people with short legs are obviously bad long-distance-jumpers. You don't need an Olympics fanatic to tell you this. It's pure common sense. So, tell me.. how is a short person like me ever going to be able leap over those huge as puddles that are so strangely and strategically formed around the campus? I bet they're there just to mock me because they know I can't avoid them! HMPH!

2. Because I am short and can't leap over puddles gracefully, unlike my taller counterparts, I will obviously get my shoes soaked and my jeans wet right up to my knees.. or if it's really bad - above my knees. But tall people will only at the very most get their jeans wet right up to their knees. This is so unfair! DOUBLE HMPH!

3. Short people feel colder because we are closer to the ground and as all you scientists know, cold air sinks! So, we short people have to brave the cold and freeze our butts off! TRIPLE HMPH!

4. If you are a short person, it is very scary to walk in a big crowd of people on a rainy day. There is a super high chance that you will get poked, jabbed or even stabbed by someone's umbrella or part of their umbrella. This is because everyone is trying their best to shield themselves from the irritating raindrops, and they become so obsessed with trying to stay dry that they don't even notice YOU, the short person, who is walking behind/in front/beside them. It's very painful, okay? I was almost poked in the eyeball once! ):

5. If wind is super strong and the rain is super heavy, we, short people have a higher chance of being blown away (unless you are a short, fat person) or have water blown/splashed all over us! Especially if you happen to be standing at the crossing, waiting for the green man and a selfish car drives by and into this huge muddy puddle.. you're bound to get a free and quick (maybe even brown) shower, whether you like it or not. Too bad if you just happened to spend 3 hours on your hair that morning! ):

See? This is why I say.. short people just aren't rain-friendly people. We're made not made to withstand adverse weather such as this. We are better equipped for sunshine and nice calm weather. Plus, warm sunny days just make us happier people too. And really, what is better than a happy person?

(:

Despite your arguments on being short, I for one, prefer to loose a few inches. I'm too tall for my own good that I have back problems. Slouching over the bathroom basin just so I can brush my teeth? Do you know how painful that feels?

And all your examples involve rain and water. So as a result I conclude them as being just 1 argument.

I look like a freaking stilt. I'd give up being tall if I can have a decent height with a body that's proportioned.
