The significance of a kiss

Saturday, August 19, 2006
I don't know why, but before I started kissing.. it was like a huge deal to me. There's all that crazy talk about first kisses and how precious and special they are. Well, to a certain extent, I do still believe that first kisses are somewhat important. Not because kissing is such a big deal but because it is, after all, your first time. Anything that you do for the first time is important since it sort of represents a benchmark. If your first kiss is good, your expectations of following kisses will be higher. If your first kiss is bad, it may very well put you off kissing totally. Right?

But after so many kisses, I somewhat wonder if there really is any significance in kissing. Why do we do it anyway? Why hasn't the novelty wore off? Why do we like it so much?

It is, after all, just a simple kiss.

A mere exchange of yummy saliva and a generous donation of one's germs to another.

I hope I'm not killing it for anyone, eh? (:

A Woman of No Importance

Sunday, August 06, 2006
Born in Singapore, found myself in Wellington, now studying in Auckland. I'm currently doing a degree in business. I am short. I am woman. I am crazy. I have messy eye-lashes, small hands and an aversion towards chinese food. I love people-watching and rich-bitching. I wish I could speak Japanese. My favourite colours are pink and purple. I've always wanted a pet rabbit and dog. I am obsessed with bags. I try to blog everyday. I read lots, think lots and talk lots. I believe that 69s are overrated.

Oh and today, I turn eighteen.
