The World Today
Michael and I were just talking about how screwed up our world is today. He said that the reason for it was due to human nature.. and to be honest, I agree with him. I believe that we've all somehow brought it upon ourselves, whether or not we realize it. I believe that to be true.
We have movies like The Inconvenient Truth which attempt to show us how our human actions have resulted in the physical deterioration and maybe even the ultimate destruction of the world (in the future) . We also have movies like American Beauty which paint a very bleak and almost revolting portrait on human nature in modern society - how we've deteriorated as moral human beings.
So, it all just boils down to us, the human beings of this world.
We "run" and "ruin" our very own world, don't we?
Our actions have the reaped consequences we're experiencing now.
All the mayhem, all the chaos, all the suffering.
In spite of all the advanced technology and increased development around the world, are we really living in a better world?

I totally agree. We are not living in a better world. In fact I think that we would be better off living during ancient times where everyone is really happy and contented and there are not a lot to complain about.
But then again, ancient times doesnt have lip glosses and pretty bags/shoes/clothes and huge malls do they? *flips hair bimbotically*
