I miss JW! ): And all the shopping sprees we've done together. Well, okay la, most of the time, I'm the one that actually buys stuff. JW has more self-control than I do. That's why she's a good influence on me. HA HA. Just jokes.

When I think about Far East Plaza or the Bugis Marketplace, I think of her too. Like I did today. Because they're my fav shopping havens and JW is always with me when I shop in those places. (Most of my barang barang are from those places anyway!) Thank you JW, for shopping with me during my last week in Singapore. It was uber fun. We should do it again sometime. And yes, please come visit me in Auckland.

All the best for your prelims! (:

Much love! x0x

Oh, and by the way, I still regret not buying all 8 different coloured pairs of shoes from that Bugis place! ):

My big break

Tuesday, February 19, 2008
Oh boo! I'm back. Back from my three month holiday in Asia. I've visited many places and met many people. Malaysia was alright. But Singapore was super. I'm so glad that I went.. and so glad that I dragged Jason along with me. Well, no, that's not true actually. He wanted to come. I merely invited him along! (:

I don't really remember what I did in the last three months of my life.. not in full detail, anyway. But I do recall bits and pieces, vague memories of special events.. how I felt, what I thought, saw, said, heard.. things like that, you know?

I'm in love with Singapore, I think. And I don't know why either. I love it more than any other place in the world. It's comfortable in its own quirky way. It's not the best place but it's most definitely my place. It's not that I feel a strong bond with that place or that it gives me a huge sense of belonging.. in fact, it's neither. It's more than that.. I feel more at ease navigating the streets over there, I feel peace amidst the bustling crowds and I'm just simply comfortable standing there, watching the world go by in a mad rush.

Indeed, it's been a long time.
Although right now, it doesn't feel that way at all!

I'm just thankful that it happened, that's all.

Singapore Culture

Tuesday, October 03, 2006
I received this damn funny email from my Mom about some event that took place in the old parliament house in Singapore. It's a short video by talkingcock.com with Hossan Leong singing about Singapore. The jokes may seem a bit crude and politicially incorrect but they're so blatantly honest, you can't help but laugh along.
I think it's good that despite the fact that Singapore's faced some pretty harsh criticisms from people all over the world, yet Singaporeans are still able to laugh at themselves for some of the crazy stuff that has happened in the past.

Well, we all need a little humour in life.
